Washington County awards on‑call engineering and monitoring contracts to two firms

Washington County approved on‑call contracts for professional engineering, architecture and construction support services following an RFP process that drew 12 proposals.
County staff told the board the evaluation committee recommended awarding contracts to two firms: Thompson & Litton to cover Groups 1–7 (buildings, general civil/transportation, construction support, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, stormwater management, surveying, and park/trail services) and TRC Engineering, Inc. for Group 8 (solid‑waste ground‑water and gas monitoring at the closed landfill). The county explained that individual task orders shall not exceed $250,000 and the sum of all task orders in a one‑year contract term shall not exceed $750,000. The contract term begins July 1, 2025 and includes renewal options for up to three additional one‑year terms.
A board motion authorized the awards and delegated signature authority to the county administrator; the motion passed without opposition.
