Planning commission reorganizes officers, approves agenda and consent items
Summary

At the start of the meeting the commission conducted its first order of business: election of officers. Nominations for chairman, vice chair and secretary were taken; Will Gordon was nominated and confirmed as vice chair, and a nominee identified as Scott was confirmed as secretary. An unidentified nominee for chair was declared and asked to assume the chairmanship.
The commission adopted the meeting agenda and approved the regular meeting minutes of Dec. 10, 2025 by voice vote. The consent agenda was later approved, authorizing routine items and advertisement for the next month.
In member concerns and staff updates, planning staff said an updated short-term tourist rental study will be circulated to commissioners for review, and staff will schedule required planning commissioner training (to be delivered online). Legal counsel Daniel Rose offered brief congratulations to members assuming new roles. The meeting adjourned after a motion and second.
