Planning commission forwards two short‑term rental permits to Board with staff conditions

Staff briefs described CUP-2025-1202 (3151 Friesland Road, Kennywood subdivision) and CUP-2025-1204 (48 Pineview Drive). The Friesland property is a three-bedroom dwelling with a health-department-approved maximum occupancy of six; Pineview is a two-bedroom dwelling with health approval for two occupants. For both applications staff recommended compliance with Warren County Health Department, Warren County Building Inspections, and the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code; issuance of a certificate of zoning only after approved health records; annual well testing for E. coli and coliform with results to be submitted to planning and health departments; and septic system servicing every five years with invoices submitted to the planning department.
Neither public hearing drew speakers. Commissioners voted to forward both applications to the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation to approve subject to the listed conditions; the Board will consider final action at a future meeting.
