LaSalle County GIS completes ArcGIS Pro conversion; vendor Bruce Harrison acquired by Snyder Geospatial

LaSalle County GIS staff told the Taxes, Election & GIS committee on Feb. 17 that the department has completed its ArcGIS Pro conversion and is finishing staff training and background scripts to publish data to the county website.
The GIS office said it created a new winter road-conditions map and is swapping data sources to accommodate the county’s new parcel fabric project. Staff noted they helped clear a backlog of parcel splits and are preparing printed county board district maps for distribution.
GIS staff also reported a vendor change: Bruce Harrison Associates was acquired by Snyder Geospatial of Indianapolis. "Pretty much all the employees moved over as part of that process," a GIS presenter said, adding that the county will receive a short contract assignment document to review; the state's attorney’s office should review the paperwork before the county approves it.
The county expects to continue working with the same staff under the new company while legal and administrative steps to transfer contracts proceed.
What happens next: GIS will send the contract paperwork for review; staff training and website script updates will continue until the conversion is fully reflected online.
