Fairfax County announces caregiver-support sessions and volunteer recognition week

During the February Connection Corner for Volunteer Solutions, Fairfax County Department of Family Services staff announced two upcoming virtual caregiver-support sessions and a volunteer recognition event.
Emily, a supervisor referenced in the session, said there will be a virtual session on Feb. 18 titled "When it's time for hospice care: what caregivers need to know," and another on March 18 focused on investment fraud for caregivers. Staff said the March Connection Corner topic is to be determined and that volunteer recognition week will be held the week of April 20; additional details will be emailed to volunteers when available.
Staff encouraged volunteers to check weekly emails for sign-ups and said coordinators will share more information when arrangements are finalized.
