The International Falls Public Schools board voted Feb. 17 to adopt a resolution accepting several gifts and donations to the district.
The resolution, offered under school board policy 706 and cited by administration as consistent with state statute, listed contributions including a charter-bus and extra games valued at $4,716 from the Bronco Basketball Boosters; $137.98 from the Rotary Club of International Falls MHS; prom donations and equipment valued at $100 from Walls All Season Equipment and $100 from Shannon’s Inc.; $100 from Family Chiropractic Center; $50 from Sage Lee Photography; $150 from Rainy Lake Medical Center; and Box Tops contributions (FES $134.20; FHS $31.40).
A board member moved to accept the gifts and another seconded; the motion was approved and the resolution declared adopted. The board record states that accepting gifts requires adoption of a resolution under applicable district policy and state law.
