Commissioner Vandegrift read the public-hearing report and said the planning commission had discussed combining the two lots because of septic considerations. "There was discussion in planning commission because of the two lots about making it one lot just because of septic and having the three camp sites there," Commissioner Foster said during discussion, referring to planning commission deliberations.
The applicant, James Brown, told the commission at the public hearing that he had paid a surveyor but the resurvey to remove a property line was delayed by about two months. He told the commission the plan was to combine the parcels after the survey so the campsite layout and septic could be addressed.
Commissioner Foster moved to approve the rezoning and Commissioner McCamey seconded. The commission adopted the motion by voice vote.
What happens next: The applicant said he will complete the resurvey, and county staff will proceed with implementing the zoning change; planning-commission conditions related to septic and lot consolidation were noted on the record.
