The Westmoreland County Board of Zoning Appeals approved a resolution recognizing Margaret “Peggy” Campbell for 15 years of service to the board.
Land use staff read a draft resolution recounting Campbell’s service since July 2010 and praising her knowledge of the zoning ordinance and her professionalism in working with applicants, citizens and staff. The resolution text read into the record stated, in part, that Campbell "has faithfully served for 15 years on the board of zoning appeals…" and that the board extends its sincerest gratitude.
Board members moved and seconded approval of the resolution by voice vote. Members agreed the resolution will be presented at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Sept. 8; staff will prepare a framed plaque and the chair will sign the document for presentation if Campbell can attend. Board members also discussed whether to include additional member signatures on the presentation but indicated the chair’s signature would suffice and staff would prepare the physical plaque.
The board voiced appreciation for Campbell’s service and confirmed procedural details for presentation. The matter required no permitting or regulatory action and was handled as a formal recognition on the board’s consent items for the meeting.
