The requested matches were approved with funding identified from the county’s reserve for contingencies (balance reported as $130,427.66).
Separately, the sheriff reported about a dozen pieces of military‑surplus equipment obtained through the 1033-type program that are no longer operational. The board authorized surplus and sale at auction so the items can be removed from inventory.
Both grant matches and the surplus authorization carried unanimously.
