San Juan County Fire and Rescue presented its first annual report to the commission on Feb. 3, describing operations, training and calls for service.
The fire chief said the department ran 8,559 calls for service in 2025, averaging roughly 24 calls per day, and noted the department’s service agreement with the city of Bloomfield. The report includes division-level summaries, training-hour totals and operations data; the chief said the report will be posted on the department’s public-facing website and copies will be available at county offices.
Commissioners thanked the chief and staff for the transparency and said the report will be a helpful resource for the public and county leadership.
