The committee noted this was the first time the department exceeded its budget projections and that it is on track to surpass projections again.
The committee discussed the potential addition of one or two vans in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 to handle convalescent calls; commissioners said these additions would generate additional revenue for the department. The EMS committee plans to meet again ahead of budget discussions and will update the commission with scheduling.
