On Sept. 9 the Village of Lincoln Heights council voted to enter executive session to discuss a complaint regarding an elected official. A council member moved to go into executive session, the motion was seconded, and roll call recorded five ayes; the council later returned to open session at 9:03 a.m. No substantive details of the complaint were disclosed in open session.
Earlier in the meeting, resident Alexis Patton addressed council during public comment about buying a village-owned parcel at 959 Congress Avenue. Patton said she had previously spoken with Mr. Lemon and was told to come to council; staff advised that prospective buyers should submit a written proposal, that council must vote on property sales, and that staff would follow up directly.
The council also discussed public-facing logistics: a parcel list is available in the municipal lobby and staff said they will post parcel information on the CRA/website; council encouraged Patton to coordinate with the manager and Mr. Lemon before the next regular meeting.
