Ernest Lau of the Board of Water Supply said continued public information and long‑term recovery efforts are important and noted the EPA Community Representation Initiative. Environmental groups and multiple agencies testified in support; the measure includes direction to seek reimbursement from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The committee moved HB1926 forward as is and the chair’s recommendation to pass unamended was adopted.
