Vista planners hear update on general plan workshops, movable tiny homes referral

Commission staff told the Planning Commission about tentative March general plan update workshops and said City Council voted to forward discussion of movable tiny homes to the commission for consideration.
At the conclusion of the Feb. 17 meeting, staff updated the Planning Commission on upcoming community engagement and a City Council referral. Miss Chow said tentative March general plan update workshops are scheduled — one in each district starting March 2 — as the final round of community engagement for the general plan update.
Miss Chow and Director Vaca also reported that City Council discussed movable tiny homes on Feb. 10 and voted 5–0 to forward the issue to the Planning Commission for discussion and feedback. Staff said it would present information on movable tiny homes to the commission in the coming weeks.
The updates were informational; no action was taken and the meeting adjourned.
