City says it recently acquired Art House, has begun renovations and may issue RFP for part of the building

Officials said the city intends to restore the facility before a formal announcement on uses and that it may issue an RFP to allow businesses to occupy the Mama Pearl’s side of the building.
"We did acquire it back within the last 60 days, and we've already began to renovate the facility," a city representative said, adding that the administration will seek fair opportunities for interested businesses through an RFP process. No opening date was given.
City staff framed the work as part of a broader effort to reinvest in cultural spaces while following procurement and fairness practices.
