Lisa Lovelace of the Beach Bluff Recreation Center told hosts the center’s quarterly vendor market will run Saturday (the 21st) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring more than 30 vendors and room for up to about 50 vendors depending on weather and indoor capacity.
Loveless (sic) said vendor space is available the day of the market but late vendors will not receive the promotional spotlight or pre-event advertising; a 10-by-10 vendor space costs $20 with limited electrical access and a $5 extra fee for tables or chairs. Entry to the market is free for visitors.
The center also will hold a bingo-and-dessert fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 23 from 6:00–7:30 p.m.; admission is $3 and includes a dessert and drink with bingo play, organizers said. No pre-registration is required for the bingo event.
Loveless (sic) described recent facility upgrades: a remodeled gym, a reopened weight room and a walking trail named for Martha Britt. She estimated membership at about 200 and noted Madison County Parks and Recreation oversees 11–12 parks in the county. A new park is expected to open in April, she said.
For membership and vendor inquiries, Lovelace pointed viewers to the Beach Bluff Recreation Center Facebook page or the Madison County Parks and Recreation website. Hosts thanked Lovelace and encouraged viewers to attend the market and support local vendors.
