DuPage County technology committee approves suite of IT contracts, including $899,900 land-records system

The DuPage County Technology Committee approved a series of budget adjustments and procurement contracts Feb. 17, including a $899,900 contract for a land-record management system and a $385,588.50 agreement for enterprise backup software.
Speaker 1 introduced the meeting’s procurement slate and noted that the Recorder’s Office purchase for Land Governance is being paid from recorder document-storage fund fees rather than general county funds. "I'm really happy about this particular item because it shows ... it didn't come out of our funds," Speaker 1 said.
The committee approved a recommendation to contract with Insight Public Sector for Veritas NetBackup software, maintenance and support covering 03/18/2026–03/17/2029 for a contract total amount of $385,588.50 under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act. The committee also approved an amendment adding $28,000 to a maintenance agreement with Imaging Systems (d/b/a Integrated Document Technologies), bringing that contract to a not-to-exceed $355,930.81.
Members approved a one-year purchase of NinjaOne endpoint management licensing from SHI International Corp. for $25,200. An information-technology speaker described NinjaOne as a replacement for an earlier product, Tanium, saying of the incumbent system: "It was too much. It was like a Ferrari." The staff presentation said NinjaOne provides patching and endpoint management functions at lower cost.
The committee approved a purchase of 14 laptops from CDW Government Inc. for a contract total of $19,278.40 under the governmental joint purchasing act; a committee member confirmed the quantity prior to the voice vote. The committee also approved a Siteimprove Inc. contract for web-governance services (05/01/2026–04/30/2027) for $19,558.75.
Separately, the committee received and placed on file HSP-15-26, a Kronos Inc. contract for timekeeping/licensing for the DuPage Care Center for the period 02/25/2026–02/24/2027 not to exceed $52,624. Committee members questioned whether the expense covered physical time clocks or software licensing. Speaker 2 said the care center is upgrading its Kronos environment, replacing older Kronos clocks and moving to a version that enables payroll-based journaling reports that are "critical to them receiving grant funding." Staff committed to follow up with the exact number of clocks.
All listed motions were approved by voice vote. The transcript records committee consent ("Aye") but does not provide roll-call vote counts or named movers and seconders for each motion.
