Tinley Park trustees approve appointments, add public member to 9‑1‑1 board and award $412,025 sewer contract

Tinley Park — The Village Board of Trustees on Feb. 17 approved several personnel appointments, adopted an ordinance to modify Emergency Telephone System Board membership and awarded a $412,025 contract for sanitary sewer rehabilitation to Visio Sewer LLC.
The board unanimously approved the agenda and the minutes of the Feb. 3 meeting before taking action on personnel items. Trustees voted to appoint Anne Mitchell as Fair Housing Compliance Officer and Pamela Yurko as senior police clerk. Jaime Davila was appointed public safety technology technician effective Feb. 18, 2026; Davila, who worked as an IT contractor and later as the full‑time help‑desk coordinator, told trustees he was “looking forward to working with public safety and the village.”
In other business, Trustee Michael Mueller moved to adopt Ordinance 2026‑O‑007 to update the village code so the Emergency Telephone System Board includes a public member; the board approved the ordinance. The board then appointed TJ Grady as the public member of the ETSB.
The trustees approved Resolution 2026‑R‑012 to award a contract to Visio Sewer LLC for the village’s sanitary sewer rehabilitation program in the amount of $412,025. Trustee Bill Broward (motion maker) said the item had been discussed at the Committee of the Whole on Feb. 3 and the resolution was eligible for adoption. The board also adopted Resolution 2026‑R‑015 endorsing an increase in the village’s liability coverage.
The board voted to table agenda items 10, 11 and 12 and then adjourned the regular meeting to enter executive session for a semiannual review of closed minutes and personnel and legal matters; the board did not return to open session.
The meeting record shows no public comments were received. The board recognized the Harmony Square project and noted the village was honored by the Chicago Metro Southwest branch of the American Public Works Association for a structures award in the $25 million–$75 million category; Tria Architects and village staff were acknowledged.
