The board and staff offered logistical help: sign-up flyers and a QR code, tech assistance through the county veterans service officer for people who have trouble using the online sign-up tool, and outreach to local service groups. Several supervisors and attendees volunteered to help recruit and sign up participants.
Organizers asked that anyone with scheduling constraints consider daytime shifts, and said adult chaperones will be required for volunteers under age 16.
