Budget & Finance and Planning & Zoning committees approve capital improvements prioritization list

At a short joint meeting, members of the Budget & Finance Committee and the Planning & Zoning Committee approved the capital improvements budget prioritization list that had been distributed to members by email. Committee members proceeded without a formal presentation and staff were available to answer questions.

Councilwoman Porterfield said she had not yet opened the emailed packet but noted she could see "the number of points on there," which she described as addressing her immediate question. After no further substantive discussion, the presiding officer called a voice vote for the Budget & Finance Committee; the presiding officer stated, "Motion carries." No numerical tally was recorded on the record for that committee.

The Planning & Zoning Committee then considered the same prioritization list. A motion to approve was moved and seconded; the committee recorded seven votes in favor, zero against and zero not voting. The presiding officer announced the motion was approved for Planning & Zoning with that 7-0 result.

The presiding officer said the approved items covered the agenda for the joint meeting and then adjourned the session. No presentations were given and no amendments or conditions to the prioritization list were recorded during the meeting.
