Commissioners approve a package of MOUs, intergovernmental agreements, procurement items and authorize executive session

During its Feb. 3 meeting the Lucas County Board of Commissioners approved a package of routine agenda items spanning human services, procurement, infrastructure and budget administration.
Job and Family Services presented MOUs assigning dedicated county workers to Lucas County Children’s Services caseloads and intergovernmental agreements (clerking, magistrate services and cash-payment processing). The department noted that the federal government reimburses 66% of costs for the child support program. Commissioners thanked contract monitors and unanimously approved items 5–12.
Support Services requested and received permission to use an Omnia Partners master service agreement with Victory Supply for inmate and detention supplies (items 13–14). The Sanitary Engineer reported acceptance of new sanitary sewer and water lines in Montclair and Waterville townships and sought authorization to sign amendments to an existing state–county solid-waste agreement (items 15–17); commissioners approved these items.
The Office of Management and Budget presented interfund cash advance repayments, an appropriation resolution and approval to create a pre-award advance account for the victim-witness program (items 18–20), which the board approved. Administration presented an agreement to allow the Lucas County 9‑1‑1 Regional Council of Governments to reimburse indirect costs under the county’s cost-allocation formula (item 21); commissioners approved it.
Finally, HR requested an executive session to discuss personnel appointments and a promotion recommendation; the board voted to enter executive session by roll call.
