Authorities say investigators have "large concerns" of foul play in missing person case

An unidentified law enforcement spokesperson said investigators have "large concerns that there is foul play involved" in the disappearance of Isadora Wingle and urged the public to share any tips at a press conference announcing a multiagency response.

The spokesperson said the initial missing-person report to the West Fargo Police Department was filed Jan. 7 and that other agencies became involved on Jan. 8. The investigation led to an apartment in South Fargo, where a search warrant was executed, the spokesperson said.

"We have large concerns that there is foul play involved in this missing investigation," the spokesperson said, adding that investigators have been working nearly "24-seven" since the case began and that they have been meeting with Wingle's family.

Officials asked anyone who saw Wingle after Dec. 31 — the date the spokesperson said she was last seen by her father — to contact dispatch so leads can be assigned to investigators. The spokesperson also asked that the public and media circulate her photo and any information that could help the inquiry.

The spokesperson said authorities do not believe there is a general threat to public safety based on the investigation thus far. Because of the investigation's complexities, officials said they would not take questions at the conference and would provide further information to the community when available.

Sergeant Craig Danielson, Chief Pete Nielsen and Captain Matt Christiansen of the West Fargo Police Department and representatives Josh Frasier and Derek Steiner from the state's attorney's office were introduced at the briefing as part of the multiagency effort.
