The finance committee opened with routine procedural business. A motion to approve the agenda was made and seconded and approved by voice. A later motion to approve the prior meeting minutes was also moved, seconded and approved by voice.
In other updates, staff reported overtime through 2025: gross pay increases and overtime rose modestly (presented figures: overtime increased around 3.5% year-over-year and net overtime is about 3.2% after adjusting for reimbursed anomalies). Staff said Fargo remains below regional peers on overtime metrics and will continue to monitor staffing and budget implications.
Nicole provided a brief update on the parking-management RFP process. Five candidates responded; the selection committee short-listed three firms for more intensive interviews next week and expects to return an update or contract recommendation in the next 60 days. The new NP parking ramp opened about six weeks ago and staff is addressing early operational complaints.
The committee adjourned without additional votes on substantive policy items.
