Hall reported January collections of $364,351 in child support and $3,401.21 in Program Integrity recoveries.
Before the report, County Manager Eddie Madden and DSS supervisors recognized two employees for long service: Veronica Leggett, 30 years with Columbus County DSS (service dates given in the meeting), and Debbie McMillan, more than 20 years, both honored with plaques. Commissioners offered personal remarks noting staff dedication and the importance of DSS work.
Commissioners approved the DSS monthly report by motion and voice vote. No formal actions beyond the recognition and report approval were taken.
