Madison — The Madison City Council conducted routine business Feb. 17, approving the minutes from the Jan. 20 meeting and handling several administrative items.
Council approved the Jan. 20 minutes by voice vote. Mayor Bob Courtney announced the reappointment of Glenn Schulte to the Tree Board for a two-year term ending Dec. 31, 2027; the council approved the nomination by voice vote.
The clerk-treasurer presented a notification about outdated and uncashed checks, some dating back to 2019, and explained those funds will be returned to the listed accounts as required by Indiana law unless a valid claim is submitted. The council also agreed to postpone a public hearing on the EOMUNCI project to the March 3, 2026 council meeting at 5:30 p.m.
With no public-comment signups recorded, a motion to adjourn was made and approved; the meeting ended and the next regular meeting was scheduled for March 3, 2026.
