Juneau — Members of the Alaska State Senate Transportation Committee pressed the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities on Feb. 12 over the timing and scope of a $28.5 million design‑build contract for the Cascade Point ferry terminal, with conservation groups and a technical consultant saying the state moved forward before required environmental and tribal reviews could inform project scope.
