Commissioners approve health, library and consent items; BOE register accepted

Davis County commissioners approved a series of routine departmental receivables, grants and consent items during their meeting in Farmington.

Director Bridal Houch presented items 3–6 from the Department of Health. Those included a $700 donation receivable from the Bountiful Police Department Employees Association to aging services (beginning 02/05/2026); a $4,000 amendment receivable with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services for community and clinical intervention programming (diabetes education) running through 2026; and a $14,449 amendment receivable for immunizations tied to federal measles‑response funding running from 02/01/2026 through 06/30/2026. Houch also presented a no‑fee room rental agreement with Davis Technical College to host the Feb. 5, 2027 resilience symposium.

A commissioner moved to approve items 3–6 as presented; the motion carried on a voice vote.

Library Director Josh Johnson presented a $32,077 grant that passed through the state from federal funds and said the county had expected the grant to lapse but that it appears to be refunded and ongoing. Commissioners approved the library item by voice vote.

Consent item 8, an agreement with Prime Time Sports to host basketball tournaments, was approved as part of the consent agenda. The board also moved into the Board of Equalization, where Controller Scott Park reported 17 appeals with no value change and 11 corrections totaling $17,000; the register was approved and the commission reconvened.

These approvals were routine and processed by voice vote; no public objections were recorded in the meeting minutes for these items.
