Commissioners asked whether staff keep logs of donated items and winners; tourism staff said they record giveaways and sponsorships for most events but noted some silent-auction items leave the premises and are not tracked by staff. The department agreed to prepare a formal request for the commission to approve at a public meeting.
Staff confirmed the Moonlight Bike Ride date as July 31 and said e-bikes are allowed for the event. Commissioners encouraged the office's emphasis on promoting local businesses through event giveaways.
Next steps: the tourism office will draft a formal request for the commission to consider on an upcoming agenda.
