County to advertise sealed bids for mowing and trash collection at parks and launches; bids due March 2

The Lawrence County planning office asked the board Feb. 17 to authorize advertisement for sealed bids to provide mowing, trimming and trash‑collection services at county recreational facilities.
Rebecca Schaeffer said the solicitation covers roughly seven miles of the county bike trail, West Park Nature Center, Quaker Falls Recreation Area and five county boat launches. She said bids will be submitted through the county’s online portal, are due by 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, and that the county controller will unseal bids and the board will open them at its March 3 meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Commissioners approved Resolution 22 authorizing the advertisements and the planned bid schedule.
