Halifax Health outlines expansion at Deltona medical center, aims to open larger ER in spring

Halifax Health told the Deltona City Commission on Feb. 17 that it is expanding services and capacity at the Medical Center of Deltona, with immediate plans to enlarge the emergency department, add inpatient beds and recruit new specialties.
"Our mission at Halifax is to be the community health care leader," Ben Eby, vice president administrator for Halifax Health, told the commission. He said Halifax has provided care in Volusia County for nearly a century and is now bringing additional specialty services to Deltona.
