Committee members favored Option 1 as the initial target for the capital grant application and discussed doing grant prep in-house to save consultant costs. The committee also reviewed a motion to approve ASL Mechanical for the sixth grade center chiller and pump replacement at $575,949; staff said replacement is needed and several members voiced support to move the contract forward to the board for approval.
Next steps: staff will prepare the grant application prioritizing Option 1, confirm whether pre-work will be done in-house or by CHA, and forward the ASL Mechanical chiller contract recommendation to the full board for formal approval.
