At its Feb. 16 zoning meeting, Charlotte City Council took multiple procedural and substantive votes:
- Deferrals: The council unanimously deferred several items to March 23, including petitions 2025‑021, 2025‑039, 2025‑091, 2025‑030, 2025‑094, 2025‑126 and public hearing petition 2025‑063 (Northwood Raven).
- Consent agenda: Council approved consent agenda items 3–12 (petitions by Charlotte Mecklenburg Hospital Authority, Image Customs Homes LLC, Justin Perry, Olympia and Wright Homes, KwikTrip Corporation, Alexander Myers Family LLC, Sea Lion LLC, Abacus Capital, Piedmont Land Development Inc., and Hines) and adopted the zoning committee statements of consistency.
- Individual approvals: The council approved petition 2025O25 by Angelo Tillman (item 1) after accepting minor conditional note changes related to sewer, water and stormwater; it also advanced other decisions (items 18 and 19) after council determined post‑committee changes did not require returning to the zoning committee.
Several other petitions were discussed and either recommended by staff or carried forward for additional technical follow‑up as noted in the meeting record.
