Separately, the council adopted $785,000 in awards to various providers under Resolution 20250177 and set aside $100,000 for a service-animal training program tied to veterans services. The council also adopted smaller ARPA-funded grants, including up to $80,000 to the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland (Resolution 20250216), a $10,000 award to Future Heights Inc. for the Noble Area Business Alliance project (Resolution 20250193), and a $160,000 award to the Famicos Foundation for a Ward 1 doorbell program (Resolution 20250194). Council approved several contract awards and amendments read into the record. The council confirmed several executive appointments and reappointments by voice vote, including Michael Deaver to the Justice Center Building Committee (Resolution 20250208), Ronnetta Williams to the advisory board on senior and adult services (Resolution 20250209), and Melanie Golembiewski to the Cuyahoga County Women's Health Commission (Resolution 20250210). Additional confirmations for workforce and behavioral-health boards also passed.
