The Milwaukee School District’s committee voted to approve a lease agreement with Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers to expand access to comprehensive health services at South Division High School (1515 West Lapham Boulevard).
Superintendent Brenda Cassellius said the district has partnered with Sixteenth Street since 2019 and described the proposed lease as a way to continue culturally responsive primary and behavioral health services for students and community residents. "I toured this new facility, and it is absolutely beautiful," Cassellius said, adding that the provider cares deeply about children and the community.
No public comments were offered during the meeting. Director Reza moved approval of the administration's recommendation; the roll call recorded four ayes and the motion passed 4–0. The lease will allow the Cardinal Clinic and associated school health pathways to continue operating at the South Division location.
