The Taylorsville City Council approved several routine items on July 9.
Robert Rampton was appointed to the Taylorsville Arts Council after Mayor Overson introduced him and Rampton described his background as a longtime resident and artist. A council member moved to appoint Rampton and the motion passed in a roll-call vote (Council member Knudsen yes; Chair Harker yes; Council member Barbieri yes; Council member Burgess yes).
The council also moved to approve the consent agenda, including minutes from the June 18 meeting. That motion passed on a roll-call vote with the same recorded yes votes.
These items were procedural and carried without substantive debate. No citizen comments were received during the public-comment period.
