Taylorsville council appoints two volunteers and accepts $4,500 state grant for police equipment

Janine Russell (not present due to illness) was nominated by the mayor for appointment to the Taylorsville Arts Council. A council member moved and the council voted by roll call in favor (Council members Cochran, Burgess, Chair Harker, Barbieri and Knudson recorded yes votes).
The council then appointed Nathan Sutterfield to the Green Committee after Mark Wendell, the Green Committee chair, introduced him. Council members moved, seconded and approved the appointment by roll call (Knudson, Barbieri, Chair Harker, Burgess and Cochran voted yes).
Later in the agenda the council considered Resolution 25‑25, accepting a $4,500 grant from the state criminal/juvenile justice commission for purchase of a trailer to store police equipment. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call with all present voting yes.
All three items were adopted during the briefing via roll call; because these were standard appointments and a grant acceptance, councilmembers recorded affirmative votes without further conditions. The council adjourned at the end of the session.
