Council approves contract amendments and $41.5M notes for county corrections center

Separately, the council adopted Resolution 20250166 authorizing the issuance and sale of Cuyahoga County capital improvement notes series 2025 in a maximum principal amount of $41,500,000. The resolution specifies that proceeds may be used for land acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, furnishing, and equipping facilities connected with county corrections center projects. Sponsors said the financing was associated with jail construction and related capital needs.
Council also approved task-order awards for construction management and support services, a multi-vendor arrangement not to exceed $900,000, and other contract actions tied to the corrections center build. The items passed by voice vote with no recorded roll-call tallies during the meeting.
