Summary
The multimodal subcommittee announced a $50,000 WalkWorks grant to study bike‑share and micromobility countywide; CLEAResult Energetics LLC (Utica, NY) was selected as the primary consultant and contracting is underway.
Emerson Bannon, Erie County planning parks, recreation and trails coordinator and chair of the multimodal subcommittee, told the TAC the MPO received a $50,000 WalkWorks grant (through the Pennsylvania Department of Health and PA Downtown Center) to study the feasibility of a countywide bike‑share and micromobility deployment.
Bannon said the multimodal committee selected CLEAResult Energetics LLC of Utica, New York as the primary consultant two weeks earlier and that the project is currently in the contracting phase. "So we've received $50,000 to get a study looking at the feasibility of bike share and micro mobility deployment for Erie County," Bannon said. The study will be countywide in scope and the committee expects work to begin once contracting is finalized.
The TAC did not record further debate or a vote on the consultant selection in the transcript; staff indicated they expect contracting and study kickoff in the near term.
