Michigan Waterway Stewards schedules March 28 river cleanup in Kalamazoo

Stout described the group’s focus on removing litter and invasive shrubs along riverbanks, noted past work at Major's Riverfront and Burberry Park, and said volunteers have helped remove tires and tens of thousands of pounds of trash in earlier efforts. He said the event will include a litter patrol and targeted invasive species work around Comstock and the River Trail, and organizers plan to return in the fall for native plantings.
