Board approves settlements, minutes, MOU and consent items in routine actions
Summary
The Fullerton board approved two closed‑session settlements, minutes and several consent and contract items, and a revised MOU with the Fullerton Teachers Association; most votes were unanimous 5–0.
During the Feb. 17 meeting, the Fullerton School District Board of Trustees approved several procedural and action items by unanimous vote.
President Hanchett reported two settlements approved during closed session: student case number 2025110318 for an amount not to exceed $30,000 and student case number 2025110708 for an amount not to exceed $11,000. Both were approved 5–0 in closed session and were announced in open session.
The board also approved minutes from the Jan. 20 meeting after a minor clerical edit to the record of who seconded a motion. The agenda was amended to move the CSBA delegate item to the March meeting and was approved. The consent calendar—including procurement and program items, donor recognitions and nutrition services contracts—was adopted as a block by voice vote. Trustees approved revisions to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Fullerton Teachers Association that updated extracurricular stipend rates for the 2025–26 school year; that motion passed 5–0.
These routine approvals were interspersed with substantive presentations and policy discussions during the meeting.
