The Hinsdale Village Board on Feb. 17 approved several consent and second-read items, including the accounts payable list, a mosquito-abatement services contract and a multiyear law-enforcement camera and digital evidence management agreement.
Trustee Stifler moved to approve payment of accounts payable for Feb. 4'Feb. 17, 2026 in the aggregate amount of $1,288,830.97; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call vote. The board then voted to combine and approve consent items B, C and D.
On second read the board considered a three-year contract to waive competitive bidding and retain Clark Environmental Mosquito Management Incorporated of Saint Charles, Illinois for annual mosquito abatement services in an amount not to exceed $58,300. The contract includes catch-basin and inlet treatment, larval monitoring at 24 sites and a hotline for resident concerns. The board approved the waiver and contract by roll call.
Before the next item, the Village President disclosed that his wife's company is a reseller of a competitor to the vendor in the following item and recused himself from the Axon discussion and vote.
Trustees then waived competitive bidding and approved a five-year master service and purchasing agreement with Axon Enterprise Inc. in an amount not to exceed $389,776.50 to replace body-worn cameras, in-car camera systems and to purchase a digital evidence server. The board said the upgrade will include hardware, evidence-management software, installation and on-site training and will help with FOIA processing and integration with DuPage County dispatch.
All recorded roll-call votes on the items above were affirmative.
