Board ratifies tentative agreement with CSEA after county fiscal certification

Attorney John Radchick, the district’s agency negotiator, presented the agreement and said the district had forwarded the calculated costs to the county, which certified the pact as fiscally responsible. Trustee Erickson moved to ratify the tentative agreement; Trustee Yamasaki seconded. The board approved the motion with a roll call in which six members voted yes and one member, Rumsey, was recorded as absent.
No substantive amendments to the agreement were proposed during the meeting. Staff described the ratification as the conclusion of the reopening negotiations and the necessary step before implementing the agreement’s terms. The board did not discuss specific dollar amounts at the time of the vote; staff said cost calculations had been completed and shared with the county.
