At its June 3 meeting the Garden Grove Unified School District Board approved agenda items 5(a)–(e) by roll‑call vote.
Item 5(a) authorizes high school teams or individuals that qualify for CIF playoffs to participate in postseason events that may require overnight travel without seeking additional board approval. Item 5(b) approves a memorandum of understanding with an e‑transcript provider (referred to as Instructor Inc. in the board presentation) for a three‑year arrangement with an estimated cost to the district of $1,162,772.51; board materials state the MOU would be valid through the 2027–28 school year. Item 5(c) approves an MOU with Orange County United Way to provide summer internship career connections for 2025–26 at no cost to the district. Item 5(d) ratifies Curtis Bruno (incoming principal at Rancho Alamitos High School) to serve as the district representative to the CIF Southern Section for 2025–26. Item 5(e) permits 14 Bell Intermediate School dance team members to participate in an out‑of‑district USA Dance camp.
Trustee Walter moved the items and Trustee Terry Rocco seconded; recorded votes show unanimous approval. The board did not amend the items during discussion.
