Board ratifies principal and assistant superintendent appointments, approves vision benefits contract

At its Aug. 14 meeting the Anaheim Elementary School District board ratified several personnel actions and a benefits contract.
The board approved the appointment of employee #08142024-01 to serve as principal of Betsy Ross School, effective July 25, 2024. Trustees also approved employment contracts for two assistant superintendents: the assistant superintendent of educational services (employee #08142024-02) and the assistant superintendent of administrative services (employee #08142024-03), both effective Aug. 15, 2024, each with an annual base salary of $226,130 and standard management benefits described in the contract summaries presented to the board.
The board additionally approved an administrative-services recommendation to contract with Emeritus Life Insurance Corp. to provide vision benefits to eligible district employees for the 2024-25 plan year (term effective Aug. 15, 2024 through June 30, 2025).
All personnel motions and the contract motion were moved and seconded as noted in the agenda and passed by voice vote, 5-0. Trustees congratulated newly appointed administrators.
What happens next: staff will finalize and execute contract documents and post required disclosures per board policy.
