Budget Board approves interfund transfers, corrects resolution and funds ARPA project for detention center

The Oklahoma County Budget Board approved several interfund transfers and a correction to an agenda attachment during its meeting.
Chantelle, budget staff, presented items 42–44 as transfers approved during the annual adopted budget that required available cash to execute. Item 42 was a transfer of $715,000 to the workers' compensation fund; item 43 was $430,000 to the self-insurance fund; item 44 was a $500,000 transfer to the capital projects fund but included a scribe error in its justification line that staff corrected (the justification should reference capital projects from 2010 rather than the self-insurance fund). Motions to approve items 42, 43 and 44 (with the stated correction) were made and approved by voice vote.
Brooke presented item 45, an interfund transfer from the county's ARPA fund to capital in the amount of $288,505 to complete a project with United Mechanical at the county detention center. "This is to complete a project with United Mechanical for our detention center," Brooke said. The board moved, seconded and approved the transfer by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved a $5,000 transfer within the general fund from an MNO account to the travel account to cover anticipated travel expenses for the remainder of the fiscal year. Staff said they will work with the clerk's office to allow offices to reconcile subcategory budgets without involving the clerk's office, and they expect to adjust subcategory budgeting as those changes are identified.
Each of these items was approved by motion, second and voice vote; minutes show the actions were adopted without recorded roll-call tallies.
