City Clerk Madison read a list of nominees: the Airport Authority will interview Carl B. Rickerson and George M. Yacos on Feb. 10; the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority will interview Brenton Artis, Laquilla Lofton and Ryan Schrader on Feb. 10. The council appointed Todd A. Mayfield to the Economic Development board and confirmed multiple appointments across health, arts, criminal justice and other committees.
The clerk also announced that Marcus Bolton, Sarah Brown and William Nertany were appointed to the South Norfolk Revitalization Commission; Bolton had previously addressed the council during the agenda‑item public comment period seeking appointment. The council approved the nominations and appointments "without objection."
