Commission approves two preliminary plats and a massage operator license

During its Feb. 19 meeting the Columbia County Planning Commission approved three non-controversial items by voice vote: a massage operator license and two preliminary plats.
The commission approved a massage operator license for Angelica Rosario to provide on-premise massage therapy at 3685 Riverwatch Parkway, Suite 105 after staff recommended approval.
The commission also approved the preliminary plat for Greenpoint Phase 5 (36 single-family lots; minimum lot size 7,616 square feet; average 9,603 square feet; sidewalks and a 50-foot undisturbed perimeter buffer), and the preliminary plat for River Island Section 2 Phase 4a (64 single-family lots; minimum lot size 10,003 square feet; average lot size 20,987 square feet; 12.52 acres of open space). Staff recommended approval for both plats and commissioners moved and seconded the motions; both motions carried on voice votes.
These approvals permit the developers to proceed with the next steps in platting and engineering review; final construction permits and any required infrastructure agreements will follow later in the county review process.
