The Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education approved multiple consent and action items unanimously during the meeting.
The board approved the bulk consent agenda (items 9a through the listed sections) by voice vote. On a pulled consent item, staff explained renewal of the UC Compass transcript-review and diagnostic tool used by counselors to identify students who are off track with CSU/UC graduation requirements; trustees approved the renewal 5-0.
Another pulled item approved upgrades to McAuliffe High School's performing-arts systems, funded by Prop 28. Staff described new installations including a projector, audio processor, loudspeakers and an amplifier to improve the VAPA program and outdoor stadium audio; trustees approved the upgrades 5-0.
The board also approved the 2026 preliminary board meeting calendar (to be reaffirmed at the December organizational meeting), monthly warrants, acceptance of donations (projected on the meeting screen) totaling $12,000, substitute rate additions for a new Universal TK instructional aide and athletic-trainer substitutes, and classified/certificated/administrative personnel report changes. All votes recorded in the public meeting passed 5-0.
