Ada County commissioners approve ARPA transfers, emergency‑response update and several contracts

At their Feb. 17 meeting the Ada County Board of Commissioners approved a package of routine but consequential administrative actions: transfer and closure of certain American Rescue Plan Act awards (Resolution 3170), an update to local emergency response authority regarding hazardous substances (Resolution 3171), and several procurement and agreement approvals.
Procurement staff recommended awarding bid 26034 for reclaimed concrete material from the county landfill to Timber Creek Recycling LLC as the lowest responsive bidder at $82,680. The board approved the purchase order. Commissioners also approved Expo Idaho interim agreements, five Barber Park Education and Events Center agreements, three county agreement renewals, and authorized the chair to sign related documents.
In other administrative business the board approved the claims journal dated Feb. 13 and minutes from prior meetings, and approved renewal of the Federal Aviation Administration certificate of authorization and statement of airworthiness for county drone operations.
Clerk’s office update: Heath Reverdy of the clerk’s office noted legislative monitoring on topics including courthouse security and a bill regarding concealed handguns in courthouses; he also previewed a May election milestone in which every polling location will use ballot‑on‑demand printers and reminded the board that the FY27 budget kickoff meeting is Feb. 26.
