City economic development launches facade-improvement program; committee schedules votes and events

June Garcia, representing the city’s economic development department, announced the Small Business Facade Improvement Program is live, offers up to $15,000 per business and has limited funds. She urged committee members to refer eligible businesses and said flyers and PowerPoint materials will be left with the committee for distribution.
Meeting organizers also noted an opening reception for the new office and community space, said CSC officer elections will be handled offline before the next meeting and reminded members of a Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and Park design meeting scheduled for Feb. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Nystrom Elementary.
The chair closed the meeting after thanking presenters and confirming staff would follow up on outstanding agenda items.
